Nigerian music star Davido is set to appear on the remix of Bibi Marung, the hit song by Mr. Pilato, Ego Slimflow, and Tebogo G Mashego. The news surfaced after a video of Davido dancing to the remix circulated on social media.
Originally released in November 2024, Bibi Marung features South African artist Focalistic, with whom Davido previously collaborated on Ke Star remix and Champion Sound. This marks Davido’s first collaboration of 2025 ahead of his upcoming album 5ive, set for release on March 15.
The remix adds to Davido’s long history of collaborations with South African artists, including Tchelete with Mafikizolo, The Sound with DJ Buck and Uhuru, and Juice Back with Nasty C.
Bibi Marung has been a commercial success, amassing over 17 million Spotify streams and ranking among South Africa’s trending songs. Davido’s feature is expected to give the song an additional boost.
The five-time Grammy nominee, who was nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 67th Grammys, has described 5ive as his best album yet. The project includes previously released singles Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike, with Omah Lay also confirmed as a guest artist.
