Global superstar Drake has made history by becoming the artist with the most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. His recent collaborative album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy 4 U, pushed him past the previous record held by The Beatles, marking his 14th No. 1 album.

This achievement also tied him with hip-hop legend Jay-Z and pop icon Taylor Swift for second place in terms of No. 1 albums. He now sits just five albums behind The Beatles’ record of 19 chart-topping albums.

$ome $exy 4 U is Drake’s first album since his high-profile beef with Kendrick Lamar, which led to a lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the release of a song that Drake claimed contained false information about him.

Looking ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be another monumental year for Drake, who was recently named the highest-selling rapper of 2024 by the IFPI. He also ranked as the second best-selling artist globally behind Taylor Swift, marking his 10th year in the top 10 of the IFPI’s global artist ranking list.
