Kanye West has voiced his dislike for Kendrick Lamar’s hit song Not Like Us. In a post on his X page, the rapper stated, “I didn’t need to hear Kendrick on this track.”
West’s comment comes amid a series of posts where he shares his thoughts on the music industry and his relationships with other artists. He recently admitted he doesn’t enjoy listening to Kendrick Lamar, particularly after the Compton rapper’s feature on Playboi Carti’s latest album.

West’s stance aligns with his position on the ongoing Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake feud, which has been described as one of the biggest in American hip-hop history. He has also acknowledged his long-running rivalry with Drake, confessing that he was jealous of the Canadian rapper while also expressing admiration for him. “I love Drake and I want him to speak at my funeral,” West previously stated.
Not Like Us played a major role in Lamar’s battle with Drake, earning him five awards at the 67th Grammys and a performance at the record-breaking 2025 Super Bowl halftime show. The song has also become the center of legal controversy, with Drake suing Universal Music for allegedly failing to prevent its release and using unethical methods to boost its popularity at his expense.
