The independent National Electoral Commission , INEC in Rivers State has declared the Governorship Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Siminalayi Fubara the governor elect at the just concluded March 18th Governorship elections. 

Our Correspondent Allwell Ene reports that Siminalayi Fubara pulled a total of  three hundred and two thousand, six hundred and fourteen votes to defeat his closest rival Architect Tonye Cole of the All Progressive Congress who pulled a total of ninety five thousand two hundred and seventy four votes.

Announcing the results, State  Supervising Collation Officer, Professor AKPOFURE RIM RUKEH, declared Sim Fubara the winner of the poll having scored the highest number of votes.
