Chidinma Adetshina, a 23-year-old former Miss South Africa contender, has expressed interest in learning more about her Nigerian heritage.

In an interview with News Live SA that was published on X.com on Thursday, Adetshina disclosed this.

She said in the interview that she had not been to Nigeria in more than 20 years and that she finds the country’s culture to be fascinating.

She said, “I’m just really excited that I’m in my father’s land and I wanna get to experience more about it. “It’s been 20 years since I’ve been here, so I just wanna get to know more about Nigeria’s culture and where I really come from.”

She went on to express her desire to be the Miss Universe Nigeria champion. “My goal is to obviously win the crown for Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.

In order to live in harmony, Adetshina also asked people to take lessons from her experience and be open to accepting people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

She declared that she is prepared to accept her differences and will make every effort to blend into the two cultures, fit in, and enjoy herself to the fullest.

Adetshina is expected to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 contest. She was invited to participate in the pageantry after she withdrew from the Miss South Africa competition because of strong criticism about her nationality.
