Street hop star Portable has revealed his dream of headlining London’s iconic O2 Arena, a venue symbolic of Nigerian music’s global rise. Speaking in a recent interview on Echo Room with Quincy Jonze, Portable stated that his artistic growth now qualifies him for such a milestone.
His ambition is also intertwined with his ongoing rivalry with Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Asake, whom he previously accused of copying his dance moves and face tattoos. Beyond this feud, Portable remains a figure of controversy, recently engaging in a public spat with Fuji music legend King Saheed Osupa.
The singer has also faced legal troubles, with the Ogun State Police declaring him wanted earlier this year for assaulting government officials. After turning himself in, he was granted bail and pledged to avoid further conflicts.
Portable has a history of clashing with fellow artists, including Poco Lee, Goya Menor—whom he later reconciled with—and Davido, whom he criticized for not featuring him on a song.
