Rema’s ‘Baby (Is It A Crime)’ has emerged as the most streamed Nigerian song of the year so far on Spotify, accumulating over 14 million streams since its release on February 7, 2024. The track samples ‘Is It A Crime’ from British band Sade’s iconic Promise album.

OdumoduBlvck’s ‘Pity This Boy’ featuring Victony follows closely with 7.5 million streams, marking a strong start to the year for the rapper, who recently secured 8 Headies nominations, including Next Rated.

Gospel artist Lawrence Oyor’s ‘Favour’ has also made an early impact with 6.6 million streams, while Asake’s 2025 release ‘Why Love’ has reached 3.2 million streams.

Other notable entries in the top 10 include Ayra Starr’s ‘All The Love’ and Burna Boy’s latest single ahead of his highly anticipated eighth album, No Signs of Weakness.
