Hit rapper Shallipopi has announced his departure from Dapper Music, citing trust issues and lack of transparency in a public statement on December 11, 2024. The Benin-born artist accused the label of mishandling his finances and attempting to lock him into a “forever contract” that would take 30% of his earnings indefinitely. This decision follows Shallipopi unfollowing Dapper Music founder Damilola Akinwunmi on Instagram, signaling an end to their nearly three-year collaboration.
